# Getting started

Pick the right Supernata workspace and make your first editable 3D design.

Supernata runs directly in a modern browser. You can explore templates and start designing without installing an app or creating an account.

## Choose where to begin

- **Shelf Maker** is for designing an individual cabinet or connected cabinet set. Start from the [template gallery](/en/templates) when you want a proven shape, or open a [free design](/en/editor?new=free) for a blank starting point.
- **Room Planner** is for drawing a measured room, placing doors and windows, and arranging cabinets or other furniture. Open the [Room Planner](/en/planner) when the room layout matters as much as the cabinet.

## Make your first cabinet

1. Choose a template or open a free design.
2. Select the cabinet in the 3D view.
3. Use **Dimensions** to set the overall width, height, and depth.
4. Open **Layout** or **Functions** to change columns, compartments, doors, drawers, shelves, and accessories.
5. Choose colors and finishes, then rotate the design to inspect it from several angles.
6. Use **Share** when you are ready to create a view-only link, an editable copy, a 3D file, or drawings.

> Your working draft is saved automatically on this device. Saving a named design to your Library is a separate action and may ask you to sign in.

## What you need

Use a current version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox with WebGL 2 enabled. A mouse or trackpad gives the most precise 3D control, but the studios also support touch. Keep the browser tab open until the draft indicator finishes saving after an important change.

# Navigate and select in 3D

Rotate, zoom, pan, focus, and select without losing your place.

The 3D view is both a preview and a selection surface. Select an object first, then use the surrounding controls to edit it.

## Mouse and trackpad

- **Click** a cabinet, compartment, door, wall, or placed object to select it.
- **Drag** on empty 3D space to orbit the camera.
- **Scroll or pinch** to zoom.
- Use the on-screen focus or view controls when you want to return to a predictable angle.

## Touch

- **Tap** an object to select it.
- **Drag with one finger** to rotate where the current studio allows it.
- **Pinch with two fingers** to zoom.
- In mobile panels, drag the sheet handle to reveal more controls without covering the whole design.

## Selection tips

When several parts overlap, zoom closer before selecting. In Shelf Maker, selecting a cabinet, section, or compartment changes the editing panel to the controls that apply to that level. In Room Planner, selecting an object also focuses the relevant inspector.

If a wall is intentionally hidden by the room cutaway, use the plan view or rotate the camera instead of trying to select the hidden surface. Press **Escape** to close an open panel or modal; use **Undo** if an edit affected the wrong object.

# Commands and keyboard shortcuts

Move faster with command search, undo, saving, copy and paste, and selection keys.

Supernata supports direct shortcuts and a searchable command palette in its editing studios. Most object-editing shortcuts pause while you type or while a dialog owns the keyboard. **Command/Ctrl K** still opens command search, and **Command/Ctrl S** intentionally starts saving even when a text field is focused.

## Open command search

Press **Command K** on macOS or **Ctrl K** on Windows and Linux. In supported editor contexts, **/** also opens command search when you are not typing. Both shortcuts open the same command palette and show the same context-aware results. Search for an action or a concrete instruction such as “width 180,” “door,” “hanging,” or “plan view.”

Search terms can also describe newer controls. With the relevant cabinet part selected, try “full overlay” or “inset” for front position; “Finger Pull,” “Shaker,” or “Rattan” for front details; and “add interior shelf” or “remove interior shelf” for shelves behind a door. In Room Planner, select an interior-wall segment or junction before searching for actions such as “delete interior wall” or “nudge wall.” These are search examples, not a special command syntax; available results depend on the current studio, mode, and selection.

A disabled result explains why it cannot run—for example, because the wrong object is selected or a physical rule blocks the change. An unmatched furniture request may be handed to RAKAI when that path is available.

## Essential shortcuts

- **Command/Ctrl Z** — undo the last grouped edit.
- **Command/Ctrl Shift Z** or **Ctrl Y** — redo.
- **Command/Ctrl S** — save the active named Library design, or start the save flow.
- **Command/Ctrl C** and **Command/Ctrl V** — copy and paste a supported selection.
- **Delete/Backspace** — remove the selected object after any required confirmation.
- **Escape** — close a dialog, clear a transient tool, or step back from a selection context.

The exact command set depends on the current studio, mode, and selected object. Use the command palette itself as the live source of available actions. AI generations are committed as one history step; use the toolbar Undo rather than asking RAKAI to reverse its own work.

# Guided categories and Free Design

Know when category rules help, and when to convert a design for unrestricted editing.

Templates can open in a **guided category** such as desk, wardrobe, shoe cabinet, bookshelf, media cabinet, sideboard, bedside table, vanity, drawer chest, kitchen cabinet, display cabinet, pantry, or room divider.

## Why guided categories exist

A guided category keeps its useful product rules: realistic size choices, a sensible module count, compatible functions, and wording tailored to that furniture type. These limits reduce broken layouts and make the editor easier to understand.

The available size range varies by category. A wardrobe, for example, uses different safe depths and functions than a desk or shoe cabinet. The controls shown in the studio are the current source of truth for the selected category.

## Convert to Free Design

Use **Convert to Free Design** when a guided rule prevents an intentional custom direction. Conversion preserves the current shape and dimensions, then removes category-specific limits. Free Design supports normal outer body edits from 30–300 cm wide, 30–300 cm high, and 20–100 cm deep, with up to 24 main modules where the structure fits.

Conversion is useful, but it also removes guardrails and category-specific recommendations. Save a named version first if you may want to return to the guided design. Physical fit rules for doors, drawers, edges, accessories, and mounting still apply after conversion.

# Design furniture with Shelf Maker

Shelf Maker is Supernata’s parametric furniture studio. Every control changes the editable structure rather than flattening the design into a picture.

## Start with the outer size

Select a cabinet and set its width, height, and depth. Normal manual edits support cabinet bodies from **30–300 cm wide**, **30–300 cm high**, and **20–100 cm deep**. A feature such as a curved edge, drawer, or accessory can require a larger minimum; the studio explains the constraint instead of creating an impossible result.

## Build the structure

- Add, remove, resize, or reorder vertical sections.
- Divide a section into compartments and adjust their heights.
- Apply a ready-made internal layout when it matches the available space.
- Add connected arms or a corner layout for L-shaped furniture.
- Choose floor-standing or floating mounting where the design supports it.

## Add functions

Select a compartment to add a hinged or sliding door, drawers, open storage, shelves, hanging storage, and supported accessories. If a function cannot fit, change the compartment size or choose a compatible layout. Do not treat a refusal as a visual glitch—the same physical rules protect pricing, drawings, and fabrication data.

## Shape and finish the design

Choose interior and exterior colors, face styles, handles, bases, and supported edge treatments. Custom colors or textures stay attached to the design when supported by the chosen sharing flow.

## Work confidently

Use **Undo** and **Redo** for manual edits. Rotate the model after a structural change and inspect doors, drawers, gaps, and connected cabinets. Then review [materials and pricing](/en/docs/materials-and-pricing) and [share or export](/en/docs/share-export-drawings) the result.

# Furniture functions and advanced details

A reference for fronts, drawers, shelves, accessories, open panels, and mounting.

Advanced controls appear after you select the cabinet, section, compartment, shelf, or front they belong to. If a control is missing, check the selection level first.

## Fronts and drawers

Choose open storage, hinged doors, double doors, sliding doors, glass fronts, or supported drawer types. Door direction and hardware depend on the available opening. Internal drawers and premium drawer systems require enough clear width, height, and depth; enlarge the compartment when the studio explains that they do not fit.

## Shelves and internal layout

Add or remove shelves, divide a section into rows or columns, and adjust clear spans. Supported shelf styles include a flat shelf, a front-lip treatment, and a slanted shelf for suitable storage. Curated section functions can create a complete arrangement faster than adding every compartment manually.

## Wardrobe and display details

Supported designs can add hanging storage, a wardrobe lift, ventilation, open exterior sides, or an open bottom. These features are sensitive to location: an open side must face the outside of a cabinet run, and an open bottom only applies to a floor-resting lower compartment. A drawer can conflict with an open side because its runners need support.

## Mounting and connected cabinets

Floor and floating mounting change the structure and allowed dimensions. Connected lower cabinets are treated as one mounting decision so an L-shaped or multi-arm composition stays physically coherent. Stacked upper cabinets follow their own support rules.

## Custom appearance

Use the color controls for catalog finishes or create a supported custom color or texture. Keep the original texture file available until upload finishes. RAKAI may refuse a structural edit that would discard a custom material; make the change manually or duplicate the design first when preservation matters.

# Cabinet size, depth, and main layout

Set the outer dimensions, choose columns or rows, and understand what changes when the body is resized.

Use the cabinet-level **Size** and **Style** controls before editing individual doors or shelves. If these controls are missing, select the cabinet body rather than one of its compartments.

## Width, height, and depth

- **Width** runs left to right across the front.
- **Height** runs from the cabinet body’s bottom to its top. Legs, a plinth, or wall placement can change its final position in the room.
- **Depth** runs from the front toward the wall. It affects storage capacity, walking space, drawer hardware, hanging rails, and how far doors project when open.

Free Design normally allows a body from **30–300 cm wide**, **30–300 cm high**, and **20–100 cm deep**. Guided categories present a smaller, furniture-specific set of safe sizes. Wall-mounted furniture has a tighter maximum; see [mounting, legs, panels, and corners](/en/docs/mounting-legs-panels-corners).

As a practical starting point, 25–35 cm depth often works for books, shoes, and display objects. Front-facing hanging clothes are more comfortable around 55–60 cm. A drawer needs at least 30 cm cabinet depth, while a normal left-to-right clothes rail needs at least 45 cm.

## Choose columns or rows

The main layout controls how the cabinet is divided:

- **Columns** creates upright sections from left to right. Use it for wardrobe bays, bookcase modules, and side-by-side functions.
- **Rows** creates horizontal sections from bottom to top. Use it for stacked media cabinets, wall cabinets, or several levels across the full width.

Choose the direction first, then use **−** and **+** to remove or add main divisions. The Structure tree lists the same parts in spatial order.

## What resizing preserves

When you resize the outer body, Supernata tries to preserve the existing layout, fronts, shelves, and accessories. A feature that no longer fits may be clamped, temporarily removed, or marked unavailable. For example, a wide single door may become a double door, a slanted shelf wider than 120 cm becomes a shelf with a front lip, and a drawer can be refused when its bay becomes too wide or shallow.

Inspect the 3D model after a large resize. Review section widths, compartment heights, door swings, shelf positions, and accessory fit instead of assuming every old detail still fits.

## Enter an exact size

Use the numeric field or slider shown for the selected body. In Room Planner, room-owned cabinets remain editable with the same furniture controls, but their placement is also constrained by the wall or floor. Save a named checkpoint before a major proportion change if you may want the earlier version back.

# Sections, compartments, fronts, and functions

Understand the cabinet hierarchy, divide storage spaces, and apply ready-made functions without changing the wrong area.

A cabinet has three editing levels. The **cabinet** owns the outside size and construction. A **section** is a main column or row. A **compartment** is one selectable storage cell inside a section. Doors, drawers, shelves, and accessories belong to a compartment.

## Select the correct level

- Select the cabinet body for overall size, mounting, legs, back-panel defaults, colors, and corner treatment.
- Select a section in 3D or the Structure tree for its width or height, ready-made function, division count, and column front.
- Select a compartment for its contents, exact size, shelf shape, panel openings, interior color, and accessories.
- Select a door, drawer, shelf board, or accessory for its own detailed controls.

If a control is not visible, the most common cause is that a parent or child is selected instead of the part that owns that setting.

## Divide a section

Use **+** to add a compartment and **−** to remove one. In a vertical section, compartments are ordered from bottom to top; removing one uses the top compartment. **Distribute evenly** makes every compartment in that section the same size. You can then resize an individual boundary or select one compartment and divide it beside or above itself.

Deleting a selected compartment removes only that cell when siblings remain. If it is the section's only compartment, the delete action names and removes the numbered parent section instead, for example **Delete Column 2**; Delete/Backspace follows the same scope. A disabled action explains why a required section must remain.

At least one section and one compartment must remain. A connected corner or supported upper cabinet can lock a structural section because it is part of the cabinet connection.

## Apply a ready-made function

**Function** fills the selected section with a curated arrangement, such as open shelves, hanging storage, doors, drawers, or a mixed wardrobe layout. Applying it replaces the contents of that section; other sections stay unchanged. In Free Design, the equivalent area may be called **Templates**.

After applying a function, select its individual doors, drawers, or shelves to adjust opening direction, handle, surface, color, lock, or spacing. A disabled function does not fit the current clear width, height, depth, category, or mounting state; tap it to read the reason.

## Change the front of a whole column

Guided categories can expose a **Front** control for a selected column:

- **Open** leaves the column without a front.
- **Door** applies compatible solid doors.
- **Glass** applies compatible glass fronts.
- **Drawer** applies drawers where the layout and hardware allow them.

For a closed front, **Full** covers every compatible bay. **Half** is available only when the column already has at least two vertically stacked bays: it uses the existing divider closest to the column midpoint (a tie goes to the lower divider), covers the bays below it, and never creates a new divider. Changing the front does not necessarily replace the functional contents behind it.

The category decides which Front tiles appear. For example, Wardrobe omits Drawer; Desk, Pantry, Bedside, and Dresser omit Glass; and Room Divider omits Drawer. Use **Function** when a protected television or knee-space zone owns the column layout.

## Merge and split storage

Shelves inside one hinged door are interior zones, not separate outer compartments. Use **Split door into compartments** when each zone should become independently selectable and receive its own front. In the other direction, a supported stack of compartments can be merged into one door, with the dividers becoming shelves behind it.

Choose hinged, double, sliding, drop-front, or lift-up doors and understand their fit rules.

Select a compartment, choose **Door** under Contents, then select the door itself to edit its type and details. In a guided category, the section’s Function or Front control can own the door type while the selected door still exposes its useful opening direction.

## Door types

The live editor is authoritative and can impose a smaller limit for a guided category, connected layout, material, or hardware combination. A single side-hinged leaf is physically supported up to 100 cm, but Supernata prefers a double-door solution above about 60 cm when it chooses for you because the swing is easier to use and the leaf is less likely to warp.

## Read left and right correctly

**Opens from left** names the side you pull, not the hinge. Its hinge is on the opposite edge. Use the automatic 3D opening preview to confirm the choice, especially for a cabinet beside a wall, another door, or a circulation path.

## Why a type is unavailable

A grey option can mean the opening is too narrow, wide, short, tall, or shallow; that a drawer-only slot is selected; or that the requested door would conflict with an open side or another structural rule. Tap the option to see the live reason. Change the compartment size, choose another type, or return to the section function instead of forcing an incompatible front.

## Doors across several spaces

A hinged door can contain adjustable shelves and Maximera drawers behind it. Use **Split door into compartments** when those zones need separate outside fronts. In the dedicated placement flow, a single door can merge several spaces only when they are contiguous vertically, have equal width, and belong to the same section and column. Multi-space placement supports door types, not drawers or drop/lift fronts. Double and sliding doors can span a larger section but still depend on the underlying section geometry; check that the requested opening belongs to the intended column.

## Customize the selected door

The door detail includes:

- opening direction or full door type;
- shelves and ready-made layouts behind a hinged door;
- handle style and available finish;
- front and interior surface;
- color or custom finish;
- automatic ventilation grille where it fits;
- a specification lock toggle.

# Drawers, quarter drawers, and Maximera

Add visible drawers or hidden internal drawers and understand width, height, depth, and zone requirements.

Supernata supports visible drawer fronts and internal drawers hidden behind a hinged door. They use different controls and should not be confused.

## Visible drawers

Select a compartment and choose **Drawer**, or select an existing door or drawer and change its Type.

- **Full drawer** fills the selected compartment with a drawer front. It supports a **20–116 cm** clear width and an **8–75 cm** drawer-front height.
- **Quarter drawer** uses a front across the lower quarter of a **20–116 cm wide, 32–300 cm high** bay.

The cabinet must be at least **30 cm deep** for the available telescopic rail sizes. The current compartment, back panel, and selected construction determine the final clear box depth.

A visible drawer needs both side panels for its runners. It cannot remain in a compartment whose supporting exterior side has been opened. If a resize makes the drawer invalid, the editor can remove it while remembering the requested type so it can return when the bay becomes valid again.

## Shelves behind a hinged door

Select a hinged door and use **Shelves inside door** to add boards. Each board creates another interior zone. The maximum count follows the live door height, so the **+** button becomes unavailable when there is not enough usable space.

You can also apply an **Interior layout** preset. It replaces the current contents behind that door with a curated arrangement; review every zone after applying it.

## Maximera internal drawers

Select a zone behind a hinged door in the 3D view. Under **Internal drawer**, choose:

- **None** — no internal drawer in that zone;
- **Quarter drawer** — a lower drawer using roughly one quarter of the zone height;
- **Full drawer** — a drawer using most of the zone height.

Maximera is available only behind a compatible hinged door with enough clear width, height, and depth. Sliding, drop-front, lift-up, and drawer fronts do not expose the same hidden-drawer control. A wardrobe lift, fixed clothes rail, or TROFAST runner cannot occupy the same interior zone.

## Adjust and reorganize zones

Select an interior zone to change its Maximera choice or delete the board that bounds it. **Select multiple spaces** lets adjacent zones share a height adjustment. **Split door into compartments** converts all interior zones to independent outer compartments, with each shelf becoming a divider.

## Finish and inspect

Visible drawer fronts support the same compatible handle, surface, color, ventilation, and lock controls as doors. Rotate the model, preview openings, and confirm that the drawer can extend without hitting another front, a wall, or furniture in the room.

Add and position shelf boards, choose flat, lipped, or slanted shapes, and convert zones into separate rows.

Shelves appear in two related forms: adjustable boards inside one compartment, and structural dividers that create separate compartments. Choose the form based on whether each zone needs its own front or function.

## Add shelves to an open compartment

Select the compartment and choose **Shelf** under Contents. In an open side-access niche, this adds adjustable display shelves inside the same opening. In other compatible layouts, the Shelf action can add a structural row. Read the short explanation under the control before applying it.

Select the shelf to change the **Board count**. The live maximum is calculated from the clear height as approximately one board per 10 cm, minus the end space: **max(0, floor(clear height ÷ 10) − 1)**. Changing the count redistributes the boards evenly; individual boards are listed bottom to top and can be repositioned vertically in 3D.

## Add shelves behind a door

Select a hinged door and use **Shelves inside door**. These boards create interior zones while keeping one outside door. Select a zone to add a Maximera drawer or adjust several adjacent zone heights.

## Choose a board shape

A slanted board wider than **120 cm** automatically becomes a front-lip board so the result stays structurally sensible. The control reports the built result, not merely the stored request.

On stacked compartments, the shelf-shape control belongs to the divider **below** the selected compartment. The bottom compartment rests on the cabinet floor, so it has no divider below to reshape.

## Convert shelves into rows

Use **Convert to shelf rows** when every space between boards should become a separately selectable compartment. After conversion, each row can have its own door or drawer, be divided again, or receive a different interior color. This conversion is available for a structural shelf, not for shelves inside one door; save a checkpoint first if the original adjustable-shelf behavior matters.

## Delete or merge a board

Deleting one board merges the zones on its two sides. Deleting the last adjustable board removes the shelf contents entirely. When selecting a zone behind a door, deleting the associated board returns to the door-level editor. Check any internal drawers or accessories after changing shelf count because their zone index and available clearance can change.

# Handles, surfaces, ventilation, and locks

Customize a door or drawer front and understand why an appearance option may be unavailable.

Select a door or drawer and open **Handle & surface**. The controls show only combinations that the selected front can actually render and manufacture.

## Handle styles

- **TipOn** is push-to-open and renders no visible handle.
- **Gola** uses a recessed rail or finger channel.
- **Handle** uses a surface-mounted bar pull.
- **Knob** uses a round pull.
- **Finger pull** bevels the top edge from behind through nearly the full slab, so the front edge stands proud as a lip your fingers hook under. A rail behind the gap closes it, flush with the body, and the front is mounted 8 mm proud so there is finger clearance behind it. It buys no hardware and requires the Full Overlay front position, which is the exact mirror of Gola.

Visible hardware currently offers **Black** and **Silver/Chrome** finishes. Legacy designs can retain other supported stored finishes, but the picker shows the options currently offered. Sliding doors support TipOn only, and glass fronts can limit the handle styles that are safe to attach.

## Front surfaces

- **Flat** is a plain front.
- **Shaker** adds a framed profile.
- **Rattan** adds a woven-look insert and needs enough width and height.
- **Slatted** adds vertical slats and already provides visual ventilation.
- **Glass** applies a glass pane treatment.
- **Mirror** applies a mirrored pane treatment.

The pane treatment keeps a 2.5 cm border around every edge. Very small fronts cannot carry a usable pane or procedural pattern, so the corresponding option is disabled. Material color and surface style are separate: a glass or mirror finish can also affect which surfaces and handles remain compatible.

### Two-color Shaker and frame width

When **Shaker** is selected, its frame follows the door or drawer color by default. Choose **Shaker frame color** only when you want a contrasting second laminate; **Match front** returns it to the automatic same-color behavior. **Frame width** starts at 6 cm and can be adjusted from 2.5–12 cm. A small front can reduce the effective maximum so the center panel remains manufacturable.

Flat and Shaker describe the appearance of a door or drawer. **Frameless cabinet** describes the body construction—no structural face frame—and is independent from Flat, Shaker, TipOn, or any other opening mechanism.

Hinged doors can also show an **Interior** surface choice: Flat, Glass, or Mirror. This affects the inside face only. It is not available for every opening family.

## Ventilation grille

Turn **Grille** on to let Supernata choose the largest standard ventilation grille that fits the usable front area without colliding with handles or edges. The control is disabled when the front is too small, the door type is incompatible, or a Slatted surface already provides ventilation.

The grille is a design and hardware specification. Confirm the ventilation requirement for the real appliance, shoes, electronics, or enclosed equipment with the responsible professional.

## Lock

The **Door lock** or **Drawer lock** toggle records and shows a lock on the selected front. It is a specification and visual indicator; the on-screen opening interaction does not become access-controlled.

## Color and custom material

Place grommets, hanging rails, wardrobe lifts, TROFAST, LEDs, cushions, Top surfaces, and independent backsplashes.

Accessories are non-structural items hosted by a compartment or cabinet. Most accessories use placement markers: select **Accessories**, choose a type, then choose a compatible marker. A green **+** identifies an available location; an amber **!** explains what must change. Top surface asks for its material before showing a full-width marker. Backsplash uses its own focused editor because its material and dimensions are saved directly on one or more cabinets.

## Accessory reference

For a fixed rail in the bottom slot of an open-floor bay, clear height reaches the room floor and includes the removed bottom-panel thickness plus the cabinet's base or leg lift. That extra space does not apply to a Häfele lift, which still uses its raw 157.3 cm operating-height check.

The marker-based accessory list is category-aware. A guided desk, wardrobe, kitchen, or other category may intentionally expose only the items approved for that product. Top surface and Backsplash are generic cabinet-level actions gated by cabinet shape and mounting, not by a kitchen category. Convert to Free Design only when you understand the construction consequences.

## Place one or several accessories

Choose the finish, fabric, color, or TROFAST variant first when the picker asks for it. Then select one or several markers in the 3D model: **+** is available, a check mark is selected or already installed, and **!** shows a blocking reason. Choose **Done** to commit all selected placements as one undoable edit. Close the flow or press Escape to cancel the uncommitted selection.

Top grommets use **Left**, **Center**, or **Right** thirds. Top LEDs, cushions, and Top surface use the **Full** zone. A supported upper cabinet can hide a top marker beneath it. Backsplash does not use those markers: its editor can apply the same settings to the current cabinet or eligible connected lower cabinets.

## Top surface and independent backsplash

Top surface and Backsplash are separate. Either can exist without the other. When both exist, the backsplash begins on the upper face of the Top surface; without one, it begins at the carcass top. Each selected cabinet stores its own backsplash record. A new backsplash requires a workshop quote before production.

Saved scenes can still contain old kitchen worktops, backsplashes, appliance openings, or standalone Sink, Cooktop, and Refrigerator fixtures. They remain visible under **Installed accessories** for maintenance only: saved surfaces can be configured or deleted, while saved openings and fixtures can be deleted. Removing a saved opening also removes its linked cutout. These are legacy cleanup-only records; Accessories, Function, and Free Design do not create new ones.

## Wardrobe lift controls

The lift’s **Lower** and **Raise** actions preview movement in 3D; they do not change the saved design. The product has a 10 kg rated load in the current specification. Its operating-height requirement includes both the stored mechanism and the clearance needed for the pull-down motion. Sliding, drop-front, lift-up, and drawer fronts are incompatible; use an open bay or a side-hinged door.

## TROFAST sizes and direction

Available TROFAST choices are **Compact 20 × 30 × 10 cm**, **Shallow 42 × 30 × 10 cm**, **Medium 42 × 30 × 23 cm**, **Large 42 × 30 × 36 cm**, and **Organizer tray 42 × 30 × 5 cm**. Supernata adds **1 cm width, 1 cm depth, and 2 cm height** for installation, plus **1.8 cm depth** behind a door. **Rotated** swaps the product’s width and depth. The runner width uses a tight ±0.25 cm tolerance, so the bay must closely match the set-out rather than merely be larger. If it does not, the editor can offer **Apply auto-fit**; accepting it may release a guided cabinet into Free Design.

The **Pull out** and **Push in** actions preview TROFAST movement only. Live pricing, when available for an Indonesian project, uses the current catalog rather than a number stored in this guide.

## Surface and stacking conflicts

A bay cushion needs an open compartment without adjustable shelves and requires its bottom panel. A top cushion is valid on a bare top or one full-width Top surface and blocks other additions in the same top zone. Full-width top surfaces conflict with another surface in that zone, and an upper cabinet can block an accessory that needs vertical clearance. Saved legacy marble slabs remain loadable and can be configured or deleted, but there is no new Marble bay tile.

## Side-panel conflicts

Hanging hardware, a wardrobe lift, TROFAST runners, and drawers rely on side panels. Opening the left or right exterior panel can remove or block these items. Resolve the conflict deliberately instead of treating the unavailable marker as an editor error.

## Edit or remove an accessory

Select the accessory in 3D or from its host compartment. You can change its family when the new family is valid, configure a Top surface or Backsplash, choose cushion color, set TROFAST size and direction, run supported previews, or delete only that accessory without removing the compartment’s other contents.

# Mounting, legs, panels, and rounded corners

Choose floor or wall mounting, select a base, control back and side panels, and apply supported corner curves.

Construction controls belong to the cabinet body, except for a compartment’s individual panel openings. Select the whole cabinet for Mounting, Legs, Back panel, and Corners.

## Floor or wall mounting

- **Floor** rests the lower cabinet on the selected base, legs, or castors.
- **Floating** wall-mounts the cabinet and suppresses legs and plinths.

A floating body is limited to **160 cm wide, 100 cm high, and 40 cm deep**. Switching an oversized body to Floating can trim it to that safe envelope. Connected lower cabinets share one mounting decision so an L-shaped or multi-arm group stays coherent. A cabinet stacked above another follows its support and has no independent floor base.

Wall mounting in the 3D planner is a design placement, not structural approval. A qualified installer must select fixings for the real wall, load, services, and local requirements.

## Front mounting on the frameless body

The cabinet body has no structural face frame in either option. **Inset** places the 18 mm front inside the body opening with its outside face flush to the carcass. **Full overlay** places the same front outside the body so it covers the front edges and projects 1.8 cm farther into the room.

The editable **Depth** remains the carcass/body depth. The read-only finished depth equals body depth for an ordinary Inset front and body depth + 1.8 cm for an ordinary Full Overlay front. Proud face decoration is included in that finished envelope: for example, the applied Shaker frame adds another 1.0 cm. Projecting handles remain excluded, while sliding-track clearance is reported separately. The wall/back datum does not move when the front mounting changes.

Every physically connected facade run shares one front mounting choice, while an independent cabinet group may use another. A supported zero-gap upper remains part of its lower run. A wall-mounted upper across a positive worktop gap is a separate facade run, so its mounting may differ from the lowers. Door styles and colors may still differ inside a run. Gola is an inset carcass rail and is unavailable with Full Overlay; resolve existing Gola fronts before applying Full Overlay. The finger pull is the exact mirror: it opens a 3.2 cm finger gap above the top edge of each front, which on an Inset front would be a slot straight into the carcass, so it is unavailable with Inset; resolve existing finger-pull fronts before applying Inset. Full Overlay is also unavailable on L/U corner groups in this version because perpendicular fronts need a designed filler or miter detail to avoid collision.

## Leg and base choices

Floor-mounted designs can expose:

- No legs;
- Plinth;
- Poyla White or Poyla Black;
- Castors;
- Scandinavian Wood;
- T-leg in Black, Gold, or Silver.

The available list depends on category, cabinet height, connected geometry, and installation rules. No legs add **0 cm**, a plinth is **7 cm**, castors are **6 cm**, and Poyla, Scandinavian, and T-legs are **10 cm** high. Discrete legs are limited to a cabinet body up to **150 cm high**; no legs and plinth support the normal **300 cm** body-height envelope. Guided dimensions normally describe the total floor-to-top height, while discrete legs in Free Design are generally added below the body. Read the live dimension label before comparing a design with site measurements.

## Back panels

The cabinet-level **Back panel** control applies a default to all compartments. Select one compartment to override that setting for only that bay. A back panel hides the wall, contains small objects, supports cable-grommet placement, and can contribute to stability. Very large cabinets with an incomplete back can receive automatic rear supports in the calculated construction.

## Open a bottom or side panel

Select a compartment and open **Panel openings**:

- Turn the **Bottom panel** off only for a floor-resting lower bay, such as a refrigerator, dispenser, or desk knee space. Floating cabinets cannot create a floor opening.
- Turn the **Left side panel** or **Right side panel** off only when that compartment touches the corresponding outside edge. Any front on that side-access opening is removed automatically.

Drawers, hanging rails, wardrobe lifts, and TROFAST runners need side support and conflict with an open side. A cushion needs a closed bottom. The editor disables impossible combinations and explains why.

## Rounded front corners

Supported corner choices are **None**, **both front corners**, **front-left**, **front-right**, and **all sides**. A 12 cm curve needs roughly **22 cm body width** on one side or **34 cm** on both, and about **14 cm depth**. A 30 cm display curve needs roughly **55 cm width** on one side or **85 cm** on both, and **32 cm depth**. The persisted production envelope supports 8–40 cm, while the UI presents the validated 12 and 30 cm presets. Joined inside edges in an L- or U-shaped group remain square so the connection stays supported.

Shelves inside a rounded outside bay follow the curve. A curve can be unavailable when the cabinet is too narrow, the wrong edge is selected, or a connected cabinet junction needs the straight support zone.

# Connected, corner, and stacked cabinets

Build multi-cabinet runs, L-shaped corners, and supported upper cabinets without breaking their shared constraints.

A connected furniture design can contain several cabinet bodies. Supernata calls each body an **arm** internally, while the user-facing design behaves as one composition.

## Add another cabinet

Use the connected-cabinet controls to add a compatible cabinet to the left or right, create a corner arm, or place a supported cabinet above. The new body remains independently selectable for size, sections, fronts, colors, and accessories, but its position is solved from the connection.

The first lower body anchors the group. Adjacent bodies follow it with the selected gap. A corner arm rotates 90° at the junction. A stacked body sits on one or more lower supports rather than on its own legs.

## Corner behavior

Choose the left or right corner orientation according to the side on which the returning arm belongs. The junction needs a usable blind or support zone, so one section can be locked or resized differently from ordinary sections. Rounded ends, doors, drawers, and accessories near the junction can be restricted to preserve the connection and opening clearance.

Rotate the model and inspect the inside corner. Confirm that handles remain reachable, doors can swing, drawers can extend, and the wall dimensions match the real site.

## Shared mounting

All connected lower cabinets use one **Floor** or **Floating** mounting decision. This prevents one arm of a continuous run from floating while another rests on legs. Stacked upper bodies derive their support and suppress their stored leg choice.

Each physically connected facade run also shares one **Inset** or **Full overlay** decision. Supported zero-gap upper bodies stay in the lower run; wall-mounted uppers across a positive worktop gap form a separate run and may use a different choice. Independent groups may differ, and individual fronts may still mix Flat, Shaker, colors, and compatible opening types. Full Overlay does not support Gola and is unavailable for L/U corner groups until filler or miter junction details are supported.

## Resize and remove safely

Changing the anchor can reposition the connected arms. A junction section or stacked support can be locked because another cabinet depends on it. Read the reason shown by a disabled size or delete control. To remove a support, first remove or relocate the dependent upper body.

Deleting one connected body removes that body and can re-solve the remaining group. Save a named checkpoint before restructuring an L- or U-shaped composition, then inspect every arm after the change.

## Room Planner placement

When a connected design is placed in Room Planner, the group moves as one furniture item while the internal arm relationships remain intact. Edit its cabinet structure through Shelf Maker, then use **Finish & return** to go back to the same room project.

# Colors, interior scopes, and custom finishes

Control cabinet, section, compartment, door, and drawer finishes without recoloring the wrong surface.

Color controls are scoped to the selected part. Select the cabinet for its body finish, a section or compartment for an interior override, and a door or drawer for its front color.

## Cabinet body color

The cabinet-level color is the fallback for carcass panels and any interior that does not have an override. Changing it does not have to recolor a door, drawer, or custom interior that already carries its own finish.

## Section and compartment interiors

An interior override has three scopes:

- **Follow body / None** uses the cabinet body finish.
- **Back only** recolors the rear panel of that section or compartment.
- **All interior** recolors the inner back, sides, top, and bottom while leaving the exposed front edging on the body finish.

A compartment override wins over its parent section. Remove the compartment override to return to the section setting; remove both to follow the cabinet body.

## Door and drawer color

Select the front itself to choose its color. Color is separate from **Surface**: Flat, Shaker, Rattan, Slatted, Glass, or Mirror changes the front treatment, while the color/material control chooses the finish used by that treatment where compatible.

A Shaker frame follows this front color by default. Set a separate **Shaker frame color** for a two-tone result; clearing it makes the frame follow future front-color changes again.

Guided categories can provide one richer color surface that automatically targets the selected front. Free Design exposes the part-level controls directly.

## Custom color or texture

Where available, create a custom material from a color or image texture, wait for the upload to finish, then apply it to the intended part. Use an evenly lit, front-facing texture with no perspective when you want a repeatable material appearance. Keep the original file until the design and upload are safely saved.

A missing or expired custom texture can fall back to its stored color. Sharing, exporting, or moving between devices can require the uploaded asset to remain available. Confirm the result in the receiving flow rather than assuming a local preview transferred.

## RAKAI preservation

RAKAI can refuse a structural edit that would discard a custom material. This protects the existing appearance instead of silently replacing it. Duplicate the design or make the structural change manually if preserving the custom finish is important.

## Color versus price

Finish area, doors, drawer fronts, glass, mirrors, edge treatment, and custom material choices can affect the material summary and eligible Indonesian pricing. Use the live estimate; this documentation does not freeze catalog prices.

Find every guided Function option and understand how Function, Front, and Half coverage affect a selected section.

**Function** and **Front** answer different questions. Function defines what is inside one selected main section: shelves, hanging space, drawers, or a mixed storage layout. Front defines what covers that section: Open, Door, Glass, or Drawer.

## What applying a Function changes

Applying a Function replaces the contents of the selected section only. Other sections stay unchanged. The live tray shows only options that fit the section’s current clear width, height, depth, category, mounting, accessory policy, and protected purpose. A guided category can show up to 16 matching choices; Free Design uses the broader template picker.

A category-defining section can be protected. For example, a desk knee space or TV equipment bay can narrow the tray to its one valid Function. Select a different section or convert the furniture to Free Design when an intentional custom layout must remove that category rule.

The tables below use each option’s exact Indonesian editor label followed by a curated English meaning. Some options disappear at the current size because they do not fit.

A one-column guided wardrobe must retain hanging storage. A rail-free wardrobe Function can therefore be unavailable until another column keeps a valid hanging rail. **Sliding** is deliberately not a Function: it is a door/front type.

Kitchen and Pantry remain stable category names for their proportions and storage presets. They no longer expose fixture-specific Functions or create new appliance openings.

## Front availability by category

The guided **Front / Muka** options are exact category capabilities, not merely style suggestions:

- Wardrobe: Open, Door, Glass; drawers come from Function because a whole wardrobe bay is too tall for a drawer front.
- Desk, Pantry / tall utility, Bedside table, and Chest of drawers: Open, Door, Drawer; no Glass.
- Room divider: Open, Door, Glass; no Drawer because the open-backed partition cannot support a drawer box safely.
- Bookshelf, Shoe cabinet, TV cabinet, Sideboard, Dressing table, Kitchen cabinet, and Display / wall storage: Open, Door, Glass, Drawer.
- Free Design supports all four through its applicable component controls.

Changing Open, Door, or Glass normally preserves the interior arrangement. Glass forces a glass face; returning to Door removes that forced glass face. Choosing Drawer replaces each covered bay with a drawer box. Compartments carrying a cushion—or saved legacy refrigerator or marble data—remain open while that record still requires an open host.

## Full and Half coverage

**Full / Penuh** covers every compatible bay. **Half / Separuh** covers bays from the bottom up and leaves the upper bays open. Half is available only when the section contains at least two vertically stacked bays and already has a suitable divider.

Half does not create a new divider at an arbitrary 50 percent. It stops at the existing bay boundary closest to the section’s vertical midpoint. If two boundaries are equally close, the lower boundary wins, so fewer bays are covered. Side-by-side bays cannot use Half because they have no lower portion.

# Bookshelf and display shelving styles

Generate Grid, Mosaic, Steps, or Gradient shelf rhythms across an entire bookshelf or display cabinet.

The whole-cabinet **Style / Gaya** generator is available for the guided **Bookshelf** and **Display / wall storage** categories. It controls the rhythm inside every editable column at once. It is not the same as a selected section’s Function.

## The four styles

| **Gradient / Gradasi** | Compartments are largest at the bottom and shrink toward the top within each column. |

Select a style first. **Density / Kepadatan** and **Doors at the bottom / Pintu di bawah** appear only after a style owns the layout.

## Density

Density has the stops **0, 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 percent**. Zero targets approximately 58 cm per clear cell; 100 targets approximately 24 cm. The values between them interpolate that target. The generator rounds the cabinet’s clear inner height to between 2 and 8 tiers per column.

The whole cabinet has a maximum of 48 compartments. On a very wide, dense cabinet, Supernata reduces tiers evenly across columns to stay within that budget instead of refusing the style.

## Doors at the bottom

Set **Doors at the bottom** to Yes to put a hinged door on the lowest tier of every generated column. The other generated cells remain open unless a category invariant requires another front.

A Display / wall storage design must retain its showcase. The generator therefore keeps a glass-front display cell near eye level in the middle column, regardless of the selected rhythm.

## What the generator rewrites

The generator replaces the interior compartments of each editable column. It does not change column widths. A corner-junction or protected-purpose column that cannot be rewritten keeps its existing contents while eligible columns receive the style.

The cabinet must use the **Columns** main layout. A Rows layout places its main sections side by side internally and cannot express a column-by-column shelf rhythm, so the style is refused.

The chosen style, density, and lower-door setting stay attached to the cabinet. If a width change adds or removes width-driven columns, Supernata reapplies the stored style so the rhythm continues across the new column count. Inspect protected columns and the middle display cell after a large resize.

Use a selected-section [Function](/en/docs/furniture-functions-catalog) when only one column should change. Use [shelves and shelf shapes](/en/docs/shelves-and-shelf-shapes) when you need to move individual boards or choose Flat, Front lip, or Slanted construction.

# Accessory placement, fit, and conflicts

Place every furniture accessory in 3D and diagnose host, size, panel, drawer, top-surface, and category conflicts.

Most accessory placement is a staged 3D operation. Choose the accessory first; choose its top-surface material, cushion fabric, or TROFAST variant when requested; then select one or more compatible markers in the model. Backsplash uses a focused editor because its material and dimensions are saved directly to one or more cabinets.

## Read the placement markers

- A green **+** is an available host.
- A check marks an existing or currently selected installation.
- An amber **!** gives the exact reason the host is blocked.
- **Done** commits all selected placements as one undoable edit.
- **X** or Escape cancels the staged operation without changing the design.

A TROFAST marker blocked only by dimensions can offer **Apply / Auto-fit**. Accepting it resizes the bay and installs the product in one undo step. If the resize leaves a guided category’s prescribed dimensions, the cabinet can become Free Design.

A cabinet top supporting more than one upper cabinet does not expose per-cabinet top markers because editing one support would make the shared support plane uneven. A supported single upper can still permit valid top accessories.

## Hanging rail and wardrobe lift

A fixed clothes rail needs at least **50 cm clear slot height**, at least **45 cm cabinet depth**, and both side panels. It cannot share its shelf gap with a visible drawer, Maximera internal drawer, wardrobe lift, or TROFAST.

In the bottom slot of an open-floor bay, the fixed rail's effective clear height reaches the room floor: the editor adds the removed bottom-panel thickness and the cabinet's base or leg lift to the solved shelf gap. This adjustment is only for the fixed rail.

The **Häfele 805.11.154 wardrobe lift** needs **88–127 cm clear width** and at least **157.3 cm clear operating height**. The operating height includes the stored mechanism and 69.3 cm of lowering travel. Its current rated load is **10 kg**. It needs both side panels and an open bay or side-hinged door. Sliding, drop-front, lift-up, and drawer fronts are incompatible. A fixed rail, TROFAST, or drawer cannot occupy the same slot. **Lower** and **Raise** preview its movement without changing the saved design.

TROFAST needs both side panels and an open bay or side-hinged door. The required clear opening adds **1 cm width, 1 cm depth, and 2 cm height** to the product. A door adds another **1.8 cm depth**. Rotated orientation swaps product width and depth. Runner width must match within **±0.25 cm**; merely making the bay much wider is not valid. TROFAST cannot share its slot with a drawer, hanging rail, or wardrobe lift. **Pull out** and **Retract** are movement previews.

## Cushion and top surfaces

A bay cushion must be in an open, shelf-free compartment at slot 0 and needs its bottom panel as support. It is 3.5 cm thick. A top cushion always spans the full cabinet width. Available fabrics are:

- Vienna polyester: Wood, Sand, Ivory, Icy, Ruby, Sun Orange, Blue Heaven, Dandelion, Grey, Mid Grey, Graphite, Silver Black, Chocolate, Titanium, Blue Jay.
- Clio synthetic leather: Khaki, Cappucino, Sepia.
- Jovi synthetic leather: Green Bottle, Cloud Cream, Beige, Black, Coffee, Dark Brown, Apricot, Nugget, Caramel, Hermes.

A new **Top surface** is a full-width cabinet-level surface, not a kitchen worktop mode. Choose a catalog laminate or stone color, thickness, and front overhang, then select an eligible cabinet top in the model. It can be created without a backsplash and configured or deleted later. Older saved standalone marble slabs remain loadable and can still be configured or deleted, but there is no separate new Marble tile for a bay.

A full-width top cushion can sit on a bare cabinet top or on one full-width top surface. It cannot sit on a partial saved slab, and it blocks other top accessories in that surface zone.

## Grommets and independent backsplash

A bay grommet needs that bay’s effective back panel. A top grommet uses one third of the cabinet top and cannot overlap another accessory in the same top third.

A **Backsplash** is independent from Top surface. It can be added directly above a bare cabinet; its lower edge starts at the cabinet top, or at the upper face of a Top surface when one exists. Choose its material, height, and thickness, then apply it to this cabinet or eligible connected lower cabinets. Each cabinet keeps its own backsplash record, and a new backsplash requires a workshop quote before production.

Saved scenes can still contain old kitchen worktops, backsplashes, appliance openings, or standalone Sink, Cooktop, and Refrigerator fixtures. These entries remain visible under **Installed accessories** for maintenance: saved surfaces can be configured or deleted, and saved openings or fixtures can be deleted. Removing a saved opening also removes its linked cutout. They are cleanup-only legacy data—new Sink, Cooktop, and Refrigerator authoring is not offered through Accessories, Function, or Free Design.

Top surface and Backsplash are cabinet-level actions, so they appear for any eligible straight lower cabinet rather than belonging to one category allowlist. A listed type can still be unavailable at a particular marker because its dimensions, panels, front, drawer slot, top stacking, or protected category purpose do not fit.

Select an installed accessory to change to a compatible family, change marble/cushion finish, change TROFAST size or orientation, preview movement, or delete it. A protected guided Function can block deletion of its defining accessory; use another Function or convert to Free Design. Prices are live catalog data and are intentionally not frozen in this guide.

# Design with RAKAI AI

Turn a description or reference image into an editable furniture design.

RAKAI is the AI designer inside Shelf Maker. It creates and edits the same parametric cabinet structure used by the manual controls, so the result stays selectable and adjustable.

## Write a useful request

Include the furniture type, overall size, main functions, and preferred finish. For example:

> Create a 220 cm wide wardrobe in Opera Grey, 240 cm high and 60 cm deep, with two hanging sections and four drawers at the bottom.

Specific measurements are better than words such as “large.” If one detail matters most, say so explicitly.

## Refine instead of restarting

After RAKAI creates a design, ask for one coherent change at a time: “make it 40 cm deep,” “add a section on the right,” or “change the lower compartment to four drawers.” You can also continue with the manual controls. Manual and AI edits operate on the same design.

## Use a reference image

Attach a clear front or three-quarter image when you want RAKAI to interpret a composition. Add text that states the target width and what must be preserved. The image is a design reference, not a verified measurement source; check the resulting dimensions and hardware yourself.

For the best result, use an image with a visible silhouette, clear section boundaries, and limited perspective distortion. A floor plan or room photo belongs in Room Planner’s Room Vision flow instead.

## Understand the limits

RAKAI may clamp dimensions, adjust a layout, or refuse a function that cannot be built within the available space. Read its notice, inspect the 3D result, and verify all critical dimensions. AI output is an editable starting point, not permission to skip site measurement or professional fabrication checks.

RAKAI is designed for focused furniture work. Knowing the current boundaries makes each AI turn more useful.

## Usage and context

The current allowance is **10 AI messages in a rolling 24-hour period**. Quick-size chips and manual editor changes do not spend an AI message. Start with a complete brief, then group closely related refinements instead of sending one vague word at a time.

Select a compartment before saying “this part” so the request has a concrete target. Later text refinements cannot see the original reference photo again; describe the visible difference in words or attach the image again for a new interpretation.

## Protected and unsupported work

RAKAI can refuse a change when it would discard custom materials, leave the guided category envelope, or create unsupported furniture or physics. Convert to Free Design only when you truly want to leave the category guardrails. In International Design Mode, RAKAI answers design requests but refuses pricing, ordering, and fulfillment requests.

## Verify the result

Photo-inferred sizes are provisional. Unsupported image details can be simplified, and a plausible 3D result can still have the wrong internal function. Compare the final structure, counts, dimensions, opening directions, material, and mounting against your brief, then use Undo if the generation should not remain.

## Read the material summary

Open the material requirements panel to review estimated boards or panels, finishing surfaces, edges, hardware, and supported quantities. The summary responds to solved geometry, so correcting a dimension or compartment can also change the estimate.

## Work with a local professional

Share the design and material summary with the person responsible for local fabrication. Ask them to confirm material equivalents, sheet sizes, hardware availability, joining methods, tolerances, and installation access.

# Drafts, saving, and your Library

Understand the difference between local autosave and a named account design.

Supernata protects in-progress work with a local draft and provides a separate Library for named designs.

## Automatic draft

The studio saves the current working draft in this browser. The status may briefly show **Saving draft…** and then **Draft**. Shelf Maker and Room Planner keep separate draft slots. Opening **Room** from a standalone cabinet copies that cabinet into a detached room project; editing a cabinet that already belongs to a room keeps the change inside that room project.

The local draft is useful for crash recovery, but it belongs to this browser and device. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching devices can make it unavailable.

## Named Library designs

Use **Design → Save** to give important work a durable name. The first save may ask you to sign in with one of the methods shown in the sign-in sheet. Use **Save new** when you want a separate version instead of replacing the active Library design.

Your Library separates cabinet, room, and Gallery Wall designs. Open it from the **Design** menu or from your [profile](/en/profile).

## A safe working habit

1. Let autosave protect quick experiments.
2. Save a named Library version before a major redesign.
3. Use **Save new** for alternatives you may want to compare.
4. Create a share link when another person needs to review the result.

> A green draft state does not mean the design has been saved to your account Library. Look for its name in the Library when long-term access matters.

# Save, organize, and recover Library designs

Know what Save overwrites, create versions with Save new, organize folders, and avoid multi-tab conflicts.

A working draft and a named Library design solve different problems. The studio autosaves the working document for quick recovery on this browser. **Save** creates or updates a named record that can be managed from the Library.

## Save versus Save new

- On the first **Save**, enter a recognizable project name. You may be asked to sign in using whichever methods are shown in the current sign-in sheet.
- After a named design is active, **Save** updates that same record.
- **Save new** creates a separate named design and leaves the earlier version intact.

Use **Save new** before changing the brief, construction, room geometry, client option, or final finish. A draft status only confirms the working slot was written; verify the named item appears in the Library when account storage matters.

## Separate Library surfaces

Cabinet, Room, and Gallery Wall records are typed separately. A Library opened inside a studio shows designs that belong to that surface, while [Profile](/en/profile) can show the combined account collection. A saved cabinet can be inserted into Room Planner without loading a room over the current project.

## Folders and record actions

Folders are labels derived from the designs filed into them. Use a client, property, or project name as the folder label. Clearing the label moves a design to **Unfiled**; an empty folder disappears automatically.

From the Library you can:

- **Load** a design, replacing the current working scene after any required unsaved-work confirmation;
- **Rename** its record without changing the geometry;
- assign or clear its **Folder**;
- **Delete** it after confirmation. Deleting a named design cannot be undone.

The local Library keeps at most **100 named records** and trims the least recently updated local records if the limit is exceeded. Before a large recovery or import, delete unused records and keep an external copy of anything that must be archived.

## When two tabs edit the same design

Each named record carries a revision. If another tab saves a newer revision first, this tab refuses to overwrite it and tells you that the design changed elsewhere. Choose **Save new** to preserve this tab as a second version, then compare the two records. If another tab deleted the active record, save again to create a new one.

Do not repeatedly press Save during a conflict. Decide which version is authoritative or keep both as named versions.

## Recover cabinets from a room

In Profile, a saved room can expose **Recover cabinets**. It extracts each cabinet or connected cabinet component into a new cabinet Library design without modifying the original room. Recovery is blocked when all extracted cabinets would exceed the 100-design limit, preventing an incomplete batch.

Understand sign-in, device and account drafts, cloud Library sync, Profile data, and what privacy deletion actually removes.

You can design before signing in. Sign-in becomes necessary for account Library saving, Profile access, 3D export, drawings, and other account-backed actions. Use the method currently shown in the sign-in sheet; available providers can vary by deployment and device.

## Device drafts and account drafts

Working drafts remain scoped to the current browser, device, account state, and studio. A signed-out draft and a signed-in account draft are not the same slot. Signing out does not merge or delete them. Always inspect the design after an account transition instead of assuming the other slot was adopted.

Named designs use the account-scoped Library when signed in. On sign-in, Supernata reconciles compatible local records with the account collection, uploads missing or locally newer records, and retries cloud writes that previously failed. Sync is designed to converge, but a network interruption can delay it; wait for the save to finish and confirm the design in Profile before leaving a critical project.

## What Profile contains

[Profile](/en/profile) can show:

- the active sign-in identity and provider;
- privately saved cabinet, room, and Gallery Wall designs;
- existing orders and links to tracking;
- default checkout recipient, contact, delivery address, and optional billing address;
- recovery actions, including extracting cabinets from a saved room.

The sign-in identity and checkout recipient are separate. Editing an order recipient’s name or email does not change the Google, phone, or other identity used to sign in.

In International Design Mode, checkout address controls are hidden because new non-Indonesian projects cannot be ordered, but saved designs, past Indonesian orders, tracking, and support remain available.

## Delete checkout details

Under **Privacy & data**, **Delete checkout details** removes the stored recipient name, contact information, and checkout addresses from the applicable account and device cache. It does **not** delete:

- the account or identity provider;
- saved designs;
- existing orders or their required transaction records.

Deleting a design is a separate Library action. Account deletion or a broader privacy request is also a separate support/legal process; do not interpret the checkout-data button as either one.

## Safe account transitions

Let pending saves finish before signing out or switching accounts. If a Profile open warns that the studio draft changed in another tab, review that tab first and retry. If a cloud save fails, keep the browser draft, use **Save new** when appropriate, and avoid clearing site data until the account Library visibly contains the record.

Choose interface language independently from the project market and know which commerce features each location enables.

Open **Language & project location** from the language/location switcher. These are two independent settings.

## Interface language

Choose **Bahasa Indonesia** or **English** to change application copy and localized URLs. Language does not decide where the project will be installed and does not enable purchasing. An Indonesian project can use English; an international project can use Bahasa Indonesia.

## Project location

Choose **Indonesia** only when the project will be installed at an eligible Indonesian address. Choose **Outside Indonesia** for International Design Mode. Detected location is only an initial suggestion, not proof of eligibility; checkout verifies the Indonesian project address.

Switching to International Design Mode hides commerce rather than deleting the design. Existing Indonesian orders remain visible from Profile and Orders even while you are abroad or using the international setting.

## Working outside Indonesia

Use the design, dimensions, material requirements, links, exports, and drawings with a qualified local professional. Supernata does not manufacture, deliver, install, price, or warrant work fabricated by a third party outside the eligible Indonesian service. Verify local materials, hardware, codes, tolerances, wall structure, and site dimensions.

When a price or order control seems missing, check project location before treating it as an error. For order-specific rules, use the current legal pages and [order documentation](/en/docs/ordering-and-tracking).

# Plan a room

Draw walls, add openings, place furniture, and inspect the space in 2D and 3D.

Room Planner combines a measured plan with an editable 3D room. Use it to check placement, circulation, and the relationship between several furniture pieces.

## Draw the room

1. Open [Room Planner](/en/planner) and enter **Build** mode.
2. Choose the room drawing tool.
3. Click or tap to place wall points, then close the outline.
4. Select a wall or dimension label to enter a precise measurement.
5. Add doors and windows, then place them on the correct wall.

You can also add partitions, adjust room finishes, and switch between plan and 3D views while checking the geometry.

## Furnish the space

Switch to **Furnish** mode. Add cabinets from your designs or furniture from the catalogue, then drag and rotate them into position. Select an item to open its inspector. The planner can warn about fit or placement, but you should still check real clearances, door swings, and installation access.

## Lighting and play modes

Use **Lighting** to place and tune supported lights. **Play** contains interactive room features where available. These modes do not replace the measured Build view; return to the plan whenever a dimension matters.

## Move between room and cabinet editing

Select a cabinet in the room and open it in Shelf Maker when its internal structure needs work. The **Finish & return** action takes you back to the same room project. A standalone Shelf Maker draft remains separate unless you explicitly open it as a new room project.

When the plan is ready, use **Share** to create a review link or open combined room and cabinet drawings.

Know where each Room Planner control lives and switch between Build, Furnish, Lighting, and Play without losing your context.

Room Planner separates room work into four top-level modes. The mode decides which objects the canvas can select and which tabs appear. If a cabinet looks visible but cannot be selected, or a wall cannot be edited, check the active mode first.

## The four modes

- **Build** owns the room shell: room shape, exterior and interior walls, doors, windows, room colors, and architectural dimensions.
- **Furnish** owns cabinets, catalogue furniture, personal 3D models, decorations, placement, and marked empty spaces.
- **Lighting** owns the room mood, sunlight, ceiling and ambient lights, light groups, and cabinet shelf LEDs.
- **Play** turns the design into a calm interactive room with a virtual pet, music, and nature ambience. Editing and object selection are intentionally reduced here.

## Tabs inside each mode

The side rail or mobile sheet follows the active mode:

- **Room**, **Openings**, and **Colors** belong to Build.
- **Furniture** belongs to Furnish and includes cabinets, catalogue items, personal models, and the empty-space workflow.
- **Lighting** belongs to Lighting.
- **Play** belongs to Play.
- **Selected** shows controls for the currently selected wall, opening, cabinet, furniture item, or light.
- **Structure** lists the room and its contents and remains useful across Build, Furnish, and Lighting.

On a phone, drag the bottom sheet between its compact, half, and full positions. The 2D/3D switch and important canvas tools remain above the sheet so the plan stays usable.

## Switch modes deliberately

Finish or cancel an active placement, drawing, paint, measurement, or empty-space tool before changing jobs. Switching mode normally cancels the current canvas tool so a half-finished action cannot keep intercepting taps. It can also clear a selection that belongs to the previous mode.

If you tap an object owned by another mode, Room Planner can offer or perform a contextual switch and show a temporary receipt. Use its back action if the switch was not what you intended.

## Use the structure and search routes

Use **Structure** when an object is hidden by another object, a cutaway, or a crowded plan. Selecting an item there targets the same room object as selecting it on the canvas.

Press **Command K** on macOS or **Ctrl K** on Windows and Linux to open command search. When you are not typing, **/** also opens it in supported contexts. Search for a destination or action such as “doors,” “floor,” “wall length 350,” “ceiling 280,” “sofa,” “measure,” or “export GLB.” A disabled result explains which room, mode, selection, or fit rule is missing.

## A reliable workflow

1. Build and verify the measured shell in **Build** and **Plan** view.
2. Add and position objects in **Furnish**.
3. Review materials and circulation before styling the scene.
4. Tune fixtures and mood in **Lighting**.
5. Use **Play** only after the room is usable.
6. Return to Build and Plan whenever a dimension matters.

# Create and reshape rooms with exact dimensions

Start from a preset or a custom outline, edit wall lengths, move corners, and understand what a room replacement removes.

Create the room shell before placing cabinets or furniture. Room Planner stores dimensions in centimetres and uses the same measured outline for the 2D plan, 3D walls, floor area, openings, placement checks, and material estimates.

## Choose a starting shape

From **Build → Room**, choose one of these paths:

- **Draw room** creates a custom polygon point by point.
- **4 × 4 room** creates a 400 × 400 cm room.
- **3 × 4 room** creates a 400 × 300 cm room in its placed orientation.
- **L 6 × 4 room** creates a 600 × 400 cm L-shaped envelope.
- **Create a room from photos** opens Room Vision when that feature is available.

The presets include practical starter openings. They are starting points, not fixed templates; you can move, resize, replace, or delete their doors and windows.

## Draw a custom outline

1. Select **Draw room**. Room Planner switches to the 2D Plan view.
2. Tap or click each corner in order. Drawing uses a 10 cm grid and offers 45-degree direction and existing-point alignment assistance.
3. Select an on-canvas segment number if you already know its exact length.
4. Close the outline at the first point or use **Finish** when the shape is valid.
5. Use **Delete point** to remove the last point or **Cancel** to discard the unfinished outline.

A valid room needs at least three sides, cannot cross itself, and cannot contain a wall segment shorter than 10 cm. Draw the outer perimeter only; use interior walls for partitions.

## Enter exact wall lengths

In **Build → Plan**, select a wall or its dimension label, enter the centimetre value, and commit it. Room Planner moves the appropriate endpoint or parallel edge while trying to preserve the rest of the outline. The preview turns invalid when the change would cross another wall, collapse the room, detach required geometry, or make placed content impossible to keep.

For a rectangular room, command search can also create a rectangle when both requested sides are between **150 and 1,000 cm**. This bound is for that command-created rectangle; an individual drawn wall follows the live geometry validator.

## Move corners and whole edges

Drag a corner to change the two adjacent walls. Drag an edge to move it parallel to itself. Helpful snaps keep aligned walls and joined partitions together. Openings hosted by a moved wall follow that wall when they remain valid. Interior walls, wall-mounted furniture, or adjacent room geometry can block a move rather than silently detach.

After a reshape, inspect all openings, wall furniture, floor furniture, finish areas, and dimension chains. A successful outline edit does not replace a real site survey.

## Set the ceiling height

The default ceiling is **280 cm**. Set **Ceiling height** from **200–400 cm**. Lowering it can invalidate a tall opening, wall-mounted item, marked space, or ceiling light position, so inspect the room after a large change.

## Replacing or deleting a room

Choosing a different preset replaces the current room shell and its contents as one history action. Deleting a room removes the room and everything inside it, including cabinets, furniture, doors, and windows, and requires a separate confirmation. Save a named Library version before either operation. Use Undo immediately if a replacement was accidental.

# Interior walls, partitions, and multi-room plans

Draw, resize, move, and erase interior walls while preserving openings and connected room geometry.

Interior walls divide an existing outer room without redrawing its perimeter. They are centred on their plan line and are normally **10 cm thick**, while the exterior wall envelope is normally **15 cm thick**.

## Draw an interior wall

1. Enter **Build** and switch to **Plan**.
2. Choose **Draw interior wall** from the wall tools or command search.
3. Start on an exterior wall, another partition, or a valid point inside the room.
4. End on another valid host so the line creates a usable division.
5. Confirm the on-canvas length, then select **Done**.

An interior wall must be at least **60 cm** long. A candidate is rejected when it crosses an unsupported segment, leaves a broken junction, sits outside the room, or creates invalid room geometry.

## Edit the wall graph

Select a partition segment to expose its length and delete controls. Drag a segment to move it while keeping compatible connections attached. Select a junction to move the meeting point of several segments. Dimension labels can accept an exact length, and snapping helps endpoints meet existing walls cleanly.

Use **Erase interior wall** when you want to remove segments by tapping them. A door or window attached to a deleted segment must also be removed or re-hosted by the valid edit; Room Planner will not draw it on an unrelated exterior wall.

## Put openings on partitions

The normal **Door** and **Window** tools can target an interior wall. Select the opening later to edit it, or use **Edit host interior wall** from the opening inspector to jump to the segment that owns it. Moving the partition carries the hosted opening when the new span still fits.

## Understand room areas and shared walls

A partition network can divide the plan into named areas. Structure and finish controls use those areas to target the correct floor, wall, lights, and contents. Very small slivers are not treated as usable rooms; close gaps and remove duplicate near-parallel walls instead of relying on a tiny cell.

A Room Vision whole-home result can contain several globally aligned room roots. Their party walls are shared rather than doubled. A shared wall may be visually owned by the adjacent room, so its finish control can direct you to that room. Do not redraw a second wall over it.

## Safe topology changes

Wall edits can affect doors, windows, wall-mounted furniture, light ownership, finish zones, and room names. Save before restructuring a furnished plan. If an edit is disabled, use the message in the selected wall or opening control; it may be protecting a connected wall graph rather than indicating a browser problem.

Place exact door and window presets, set hinges and swing, edit coverings and colors, and resolve invalid openings.

Doors and windows are openings hosted by an exterior or interior wall. Add and edit them in **Build** mode. The plan view is best for left-to-right placement and swing clearance; the 3D view is best for sill height, appearance, and room context.

## Place an opening

1. Open **Build → Openings**.
2. Choose **Door** or **Window**.
3. Pick the type before placement if the default is not correct.
4. Tap the target wall. The ghost shows the real opening size and turns invalid where it cannot fit.
5. Continue placing openings, then select **Done** to put the tool away.

You can move a selected opening along its wall. A window can also be dragged vertically in 3D. Helpful snaps include the wall centre, even gaps between neighbouring openings, floor level, the standard 90 cm sill, and the highest valid sill.

## Door presets

Changing the type applies that type’s preset dimensions. You can then enter a custom width and height within the limits below.

A window can use **None**, **Curtain**, **Roller**, **Vertical**, or **Roman** covering. Set the glass, frame, and covering colors in the selected-window panel. A door has separate leaf and frame colors.

## Custom limits and validation

The editor accepts a custom opening **30–500 cm wide** and **30–400 cm high**. A window sill input accepts **0–400 cm**, but the opening’s top still has to remain below its actual host-wall height.

An opening is valid only when its entire width stays on the finite wall and it does not overlap another opening. A jamb may sit flush with a wall end in the current planner; there is no extra opening-to-corner margin. This is different from furniture placement, which keeps a separate **15 cm lateral buffer** beside an opening. A wall can also reject an opening that is too short or has no usable physical height.

## Edit and delete safely

Select the opening in Plan, 3D, Structure, or Selected. Change its type, size, sill, hinge, swing, covering, and colors there. Deleting an opening does not show a confirmation because Undo can restore it as one action. Use Undo immediately if you selected the wrong opening.

Always inspect real door-leaf travel, handle clearance, curtain stack, and furniture circulation. The plan validates geometry, but it does not know every hinge, trim, jamb, electrical, or site condition.

Use saved cabinet designs, templates, the furniture catalogue, or personal models and position each item safely.

Use **Furnish** after the measured room and openings are stable. Cabinets and furniture are different object types: a cabinet stays structurally editable in Shelf Maker, while catalogue furniture uses the supplied product model and dimensions.

## Add a cabinet

Open **Furnish → Furniture → Cabinets → Add cabinet** and choose:

- **Your designs** for a named cabinet saved in your Library. This area may ask you to sign in.
- **Template** for a searchable Supernata starting design grouped by furniture category.

Placing a cabinet clones it into the room with new identifiers, so the saved source design remains independent and you can place more than one copy. The planner chooses an initial free position and selects the new cabinet for adjustment.

## Add catalogue furniture

Open **Furniture → Catalog**, browse or search by product, brand, or category, and choose a color variant before placement when several are available. A floor item is placed on the floor; a wall item is attached to a wall; a surface decoration belongs on a supported cabinet or furniture top.

Use the product dimensions shown in the inspector. Catalogue products are planning representations and are not resized merely to make a crowded plan work.

## Move, rotate, and inspect

- Drag a floor item to move it. Room Planner snaps to useful wall, room, and neighbouring-object alignments when the candidate remains valid.
- Use **Rotate 45°** or the rotation handle to change a floor item’s direction.
- Use **Raise**, **Lower**, and **Flip** for a supported wall item.
- Turn on **Clearances** to see distances from selected furniture to walls, openings, and nearby objects.
- Use **Fit to screen** or select the item in **Structure** when it is difficult to find.

A placement can be rejected if the footprint leaves the room, intersects another object, crosses a wall, occupies an opening’s protected zone, exceeds the ceiling, or no longer fits its wall. The invalid preview is a warning; it is not a suggestion to ignore site access.

## Edit a cabinet without losing the room

Select a cabinet and choose its Shelf Maker edit action. Room Planner hands the same cabinet to Shelf Maker while keeping the room project as the owner. Edit dimensions, compartments, doors, drawers, shelves, accessories, and finishes, then choose **Finish & return** to go back to the same room and placement.

A slot-created cabinet can have locked outer dimensions because it was designed for a marked volume. Adjust its internal structure without defeating the measured fit.

## Add decorations in focus mode

Select a supported floor cabinet or furniture item and choose **Decorate**. Focus mode isolates that host and lets you add compatible surface decorations. New decorations are checked against the host top or open bay and spread around it instead of all landing at the same centre. Select **Done** to return to the full room.

## Personal models

Use **My models** for a static GLB that is not in the catalogue. Personal models have their own file, storage, scale, and sign-in rules; read [Import personal 3D models](/en/docs/personal-3d-models) before uploading one.

# Mark an empty space and find something that fits

Measure a floor or wall volume, resize the mark, and fill it with RAKAI, a fitted cabinet template, catalogue furniture, or Shelf Maker.

**Fill empty space** turns a measured gap into a temporary 3D volume. Use it when you know the available width, height, and depth but have not chosen the cabinet or furniture yet.

## Create a mark

1. Enter **Furnish** and open **Fill empty space**.
2. Choose **Mark empty space**.
3. In Plan or 3D, drag a rectangle on the floor, or target a wall and drag the wall area.
4. Release when the ghost is valid.
5. Drag the mark or its faces, or type exact values in the panel.

A floor mark is clamped inside the actual room polygon, including an L- or U-shaped notch. A wall mark stays on its host wall and below the ceiling. The mark snaps to useful walls and object edges while moving or resizing.

## Mark size limits

- Width: **20–400 cm**.
- Depth: **20–120 cm**.
- Height: at least **20 cm**, capped by the room’s ceiling.
- A new floor mark starts at **200 cm high**; change it before filling a low console or bench gap.
- A wall mark also has **From floor**, starting at 0 when placed at floor level, and its height plus that value cannot exceed the wall height.

A floor footprint is rejected if any corner sits outside a concave room. Typed dimensions are clamped to the largest valid volume rather than passing through a wall or ceiling.

## Choose a fill path

- **Create to fit** asks RAKAI for a custom cabinet locked to the marked dimensions. It requires sign-in and accepts an optional brief.
- **Find items that fit** searches two honest groups. Custom cabinet templates are adapted to the marked dimensions; catalogue furniture keeps its original product size and must fit inside the volume.
- **Design it yourself in the editor** creates a cabinet at the mark, opens Shelf Maker, and locks the outer size to the measured volume.

The fit list ranks tighter matches first and can suggest a category from the proportions. Use **Show all sizes** only to explore alternatives; an item outside the marked size may still fail placement or require a larger mark.

## Floor marks and wall marks

A floor mark can receive floor cabinets and floor furniture. A wall mark searches wall-compatible furniture and creates a wall-mounted cabinet. Wall catalogue results can be sparse because floor and surface products are intentionally excluded from a wall mark.

## The mark is temporary

The mark is not a saved room object. It is cleared after a successful fill, when you choose **Remove mark**, or when the temporary tool is abandoned. Fill it before refreshing or relying on the Library save. The placed cabinet or furniture is a normal saved room object.

If nothing fits, enlarge the mark if the measured site allows it, choose a custom-fit cabinet, or adjust the brief. Do not scale catalogue furniture beyond its real dimensions just to eliminate an on-screen warning.

# Floor and wall finishes, area painting, and estimates

Apply materials to a whole floor, all walls, one wall, or selected areas and read the resulting quantity estimate.

Room finishes are measured design data, not just a background color. Floor and wall choices drive the rendered surface, physical pattern controls, area-specific zones, and material quantity estimates.

## Target the correct room and surface

Open **Build → Colors** and choose **Floor** or **Walls**. In a multi-room plan, select the room floor or use **Room to edit** first. For walls, select **All walls** or one wall in the plan or 3D view. A party wall can belong to the adjacent room; the panel will tell you to edit it from that owner instead of writing an invisible finish.

## Finish the floor

Floor families include wood/parquet, vinyl/PVC, marble, tile, and **My texture**. Choose a material, then use:

- **Whole floor** to fill the selected room.
- **Brush** to paint only selected floor areas.
- **Clear areas** to remove area overrides and return to the room-wide finish.

Physical materials expose piece width and length, grout or joint width where relevant, and pattern rotation. For a solid or non-piece brush, choose **25 cm**, **50 cm**, or **1 m** cells. A piece-based material uses its actual selected dimensions for the brush footprint and estimate.

## Finish the walls

Wall families include paint, tile, marble, mirror, WPC panels, solid custom colors, and custom image textures. Apply the pending finish to **All walls**, **This wall**, or use **Brush** for selected areas.

For painted wall areas, the brush diameter is adjustable from **10–200 cm** in 5 cm steps. Tile, marble, mirror, WPC, and custom panels use physical stock dimensions and joint settings rather than a round paint brush. Use **Clear areas** to remove the zones for the current wall scope.

## Upload a custom texture

Floor and wall texture uploads accept **JPG, PNG, or WebP** up to **10 MB**. Choose an evenly lit, front-facing, crop-ready source without perspective. For a custom physical material, enter its real piece or panel dimensions; the editor cannot produce a useful unit estimate from an image alone.

The texture is stored with the design where supported, but keep the source file. Verify a share, export, and another device before relying on a custom asset for a handoff.

## Read the quantity estimate

The floor estimate reports measured area and, for known piece sizes, required pieces or slabs. The wall estimate groups materials across the room, subtracts valid door and window openings, and can report area plus pieces, panels, sheets, or lengths according to the selected product.

Area brushes create separate finish zones, so many small strokes can increase complexity. If the saved-area limit is reached, clear old areas or use a larger brush and apply a broader zone.

## What the estimate does not guarantee

The result is a planning quantity. Verify field dimensions, cutting layout, pattern matching, grout, waste, breakage, trim, substrate, moisture conditions, installation method, stock size, and current availability with the responsible supplier or installer. Do not treat an on-screen quantity as a purchase order.

# Room lighting, sunlight, moods, groups, and shelf LEDs

Set the room atmosphere, place and organize fixtures, and preview cabinet shelf lighting.

Lighting mode lets you test atmosphere without changing the measured shell. Turn **Lighting mode** on to replace the flat studio light with the room’s saved sunlight, fixture, and exposure settings.

## Start with a mood

Choose **Morning**, **Day**, **Evening**, or **Night**. Each preset sets exposure, sunlight state, time of day, and sun direction together. Night turns sunlight off and lowers exposure so ceiling lights, ambient bulbs, and shelf LEDs are easier to judge.

Use **Brightness** to adjust exposure from 20% to 250%. Under **Sunlight**, switch the sun on or off, set a time from 00:00–24:00 in half-hour steps, and adjust its compass direction.

## Place ceiling lights

Open **Ceiling lights** and either:

1. Choose **Add ceiling light**, select its color and group, tap a point on the floor or plan, then select **Done**; or
2. Choose **Arrange automatically** to replace the room’s existing ceiling-light set with an evenly spaced layout.

Automatic layout uses about one light per 7 m², keeps roughly 60 cm from the room bounds where possible, follows the room shape, and creates at most nine lights in one room. In Plan view, the floor outline acts as a ceiling map and is the easiest place to inspect spacing.

## Add ambient bulbs

Use **Add ambient light**, then tap near a decorative table or floor lamp. The planner places a light at a typical 55 cm lamp height. An ambient bulb is a lighting effect; it does not automatically add the decorative lamp model.

## Choose color and edit a light

New and selected lights support **Warm**, **Soft**, **Cool**, and **Daylight** presets. Select a placed light to change its on/off state, intensity, color, or group, or to delete it. Warm is suited to bedrooms and lounges; cool and daylight are clearer for task or dressing areas, but the final choice remains a design decision.

## Use light groups

Create and name groups such as Living Room or Work Area. Assign a light during placement or from the selected-light inspector, then switch the whole group on or off. Deleting a group keeps its lights but removes their assignment.

## Turn on cabinet shelf LEDs

When the room contains cabinets, **Shelf LEDs** lists them. Choose Warm or Cool for the shared LED color and toggle each cabinet. LEDs illuminate open shelves only while room lighting is active and are most visible in a dark mood.

## Undo and performance behavior

Placing, replacing, or deleting fixtures is a structural action and is undoable. Exposure, sunlight, fixture intensity, fixture on/off, color, and grouping are saved mood settings but do not create dozens of Undo steps while you drag a slider.

A whole-home scene can contain more active lights than the renderer can cast in real time. If a budget warning appears, the active room is prioritized and overflow lights remain represented without all casting full real-time light. Reduce active groups for a clearer preview.

Lighting is a visualization aid. Confirm fixture photometry, beam angle, switching, electrical load, ceiling construction, access, and local electrical requirements with a qualified professional.

Read and edit dimensions, measure between two points, show clearances, control wall visibility, and recover the camera.

Use the Plan view to author geometry and the 3D view to judge volume, reach, and visual relationships. Both read the same centimetre-based document, but they expose different controls.

## Plan view and editable dimensions

**Plan (2D)** looks straight down and shows wall lines, openings, swing arcs, furniture footprints, partitions, and dimension chains without perspective. In Build mode, select a wall number to enter an exact length. Selected openings show their own width and clear gaps along the host wall. Partitions expose editable segment lengths and junctions.

Use **Show dimensions** to display the relevant architectural and object labels. Hiding labels changes only the view; it does not delete measurements.

## 3D view and wall visibility

**3D** is best for ceiling height, window sill, furniture height, door movement, wall-mounted items, finishes, and lighting. Choose:

- **Full walls** for the complete enclosure.
- **Cutaway walls** to lower camera-facing exterior walls while preserving readable interior divisions.
- **Low walls** for a mostly open overview with low wall bases.

A hidden wall still exists. Return to Plan or choose Full walls before concluding that a wall or opening was deleted.

## Clearances and object dimensions

Turn on **Clearances** in Furnish mode to show the selected floor object’s distances to walls, openings, and nearby furniture. A wall item shows vertical and along-wall relationships relevant to its host. Clearance labels are design aids; check door swing, body movement, installation path, and any manufacturer service zone separately.

## Measure any two points

Choose **Measure distance**, then tap two points in Plan or 3D. The ruler reports the straight distance and component differences available in the current view. Use **Done**, **Escape**, or the tool-cancel action to clear the temporary ruler. A ruler result is temporary; use a wall or object dimension control when a value must change the design.

## Camera recovery

Use **Fit to screen** after importing, reshaping, or moving something far away. In 3D, drag empty space to orbit and scroll or pinch to zoom. In Plan, pan and zoom without using an object handle. If a touch gesture keeps moving an object, cancel the active tool or clear the selection before navigating.

## Undo, redo, and Escape

- **Command/Ctrl Z** undoes the last grouped design action.
- **Command/Ctrl Shift Z** or **Ctrl Y** redoes it.
- **Escape** closes a transient tool or selection context when no dialog owns the key.
- **Delete/Backspace** removes a supported selected object; destructive room deletion still has its own confirmation.

Painting and long drags are grouped rather than creating one history item per pointer movement. Some view and mood changes intentionally do not enter design history.

## Find a buried tool

Open command search with **Command/Ctrl K** and search for Plan, 3D, full walls, cutaway, low walls, dimensions, clearances, measure, fit, undo, redo, or the action you need. The live command list is the best reference for what the current mode and selection can do.

# Save, load, share, export, and open room drawings

Protect a room project, load room codes safely, share the right recipient mode, and create 3D or drawing handoffs.

A room project includes its room geometry, openings, cabinets, furniture, lights, finishes, and supported custom materials. Use local autosave for recovery, a named Library design for a durable checkpoint, and a share or export for a recipient handoff.

## Protect the working room

Room Planner autosaves to its own local room-draft slot, separate from Shelf Maker and Gallery Wall. It belongs to this browser, device, and account state. Use **Design → Save** for an important named Library version and **Save new** before a risky alternative. Wait for the draft status to finish after a large edit.

When editing a room-owned cabinet in Shelf Maker, use **Finish & return**. Starting a new unrelated cabinet or room can detach the intended handoff.

## Load a room code

Choose **Load code**, paste a Room Planner code from a Supernata app or web share, and select Load. Loading replaces the current working room, so the discard guard appears when the draft has unsaved changes. A bridged legacy room can load with adjustments; read the warning and inspect walls, openings, finishes, and cabinet placement before saving it as your own.

## Share for review or editing

Open **Share & Export** and choose:

- **View only** for review. The recipient can inspect the room but cannot edit that shared document.
- **Editable copy** when the recipient needs an independent working copy. Their edits do not change your room.

Anyone with the link can open it, so treat it as an unlisted presentation link rather than a secret-access boundary. Supported room and cabinet custom colors and textures are included. Opening a shared room for editing can replace the recipient’s existing room draft and therefore asks for confirmation.

## Export the 3D room

3D export requires sign-in:

- **COLLADA (.dae)** is recommended for the widest SketchUp compatibility.
- **glTF (.glb)** works well with Blender and SketchUp 2025 or newer.

The export uses Y-up geometry and real-world metre scale. Confirm units, texture support, normals, and dimensions after import. A 3D export is not a fabrication drawing and can contain optimized visual geometry.

## Open room drawings

**Drawings** exports one combined customer + workshop set in a new tab. It includes the measured room plan, opening and **Position** registers, internal/closed views and a section for every cabinet, plus the fabrication schedules. It requires sign-in. If authentication interrupts the click, return to **Share & Export** and select **Open drawings** again; the second click preserves the browser permission needed to open the new tab.

The export is generated from the current digital design. It does not add surveyed dimensions, structural approval, construction tolerances, hidden utilities, or installation engineering.

## Before handing off

1. Save a named final checkpoint.
2. Review Build mode in Plan with dimensions visible.
3. Inspect door swings, furniture clearances, ceiling height, and wall mounting.
4. Open the room drawing preview.
5. Test the recipient link in a private window or another browser.
6. Import any 3D export into the destination tool and verify one known dimension.

# Play mode, virtual pets, music, and ambience

Use the non-editing Play mode, care for a room pet, and control music and automatic nature ambience.

Play turns the finished room into an ambient, non-editing space. Nothing is wrong if walls and furniture stop responding to selection here; return to Build, Furnish, or Lighting to edit them.

## Adopt a pet

Open **Play → Pet** and choose one starter: Fire fox, Water toad, or Little duck. A room project supports one active pet. Each adoption receives its own personality seed and default name, and the creature moves around the room.

Tap the pet in 3D for a reaction. Choose **Release pet** only when you want to remove it from the project.

## Read and manage care needs

The pet panel shows:

- **Full** for hunger in a positive form;
- **Happy** for play and attention;
- **Clean** for its environment; and
- **Weight**, where the middle zone is ideal rather than simply “more is better.”

Use **Play** and **Clean** for direct care. Place a **Food bowl**, **Water bowl**, and **Pee pad** in the room; tap an already placed item to remove it. A hungry pet can walk to its food by itself. Low needs trigger in-app notices even while you are working in another Room Planner mode, and a dirty pet can leave a limited number of messes until cared for.

## Play music

The music panel provides previous, play/pause, next, off, track selection, and volume. Once started, music continues when you switch back to Build, Furnish, or Lighting. A compact player remains available outside Play where the layout supports it.

## Nature ambience and weather

Set a separate **Nature sounds** volume. Gentle wind plays while Play is active. Rain begins and ends automatically in longer weather cycles; there is no manual rain switch. Rain and wind are mixed below the music so you can lower ambience without muting the track.

## Save and performance notes

The pet and its placed care items belong to the room document and follow its normal draft and Library saving. Music playback and current weather are session controls rather than measured room design data.

If the interactive scene is slow, pause music only if audio is part of the issue, switch out of Play to stop its ambience, close other graphics-heavy tabs, and return to a simpler wall view. Play does not change room dimensions, materials, or production specifications.

# Create a room with Room Vision

Use a floor plan, room photos, and a written brief as an AI-assisted starting point.

Room Vision can analyze a written brief together with a floor plan or room photos, then propose editable room geometry.

Room Vision requires sign-in. A request can include up to **eight JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC images**, with a maximum source size of **25 MB each**, plus a written brief of up to **600 characters**. Images are compressed locally before analysis. The current allowance is **three analyses in a rolling 24-hour period**.

## Prepare a strong input

- Use a sharp floor plan that shows complete wall boundaries and readable dimensions.
- For a single room, include several angles when one photo cannot show the whole shape.
- Describe the target clearly—for example, “the main bedroom beside the balcony, 3 × 4 m.”
- Combine a plan with photos when you want both reliable geometry and visual context.

## Review before applying

Room Vision shows a preview before replacing room geometry. Compare the proposed walls, openings, shared boundaries, and dimension labels with the source. A safety check may block a result when shapes conflict, dimensions do not match, openings cannot attach to a wall, or the target room is ambiguous.

Applying an entire-home result can replace existing room geometry and remove content that no longer fits or remains attached to old walls. Read the confirmation carefully. The operation is grouped so one Undo can restore the previous state, but a named Library save before replacement is still the safest checkpoint.

> AI analysis is not a site survey. Verify every wall, opening, and level before using the plan for purchasing, fabrication, or construction.

# Import personal 3D models

Prepare a compatible GLB and add it to your Room Planner library.

Room Planner can use personal 3D models for furniture or objects that are not in the catalogue.

## Prepare the file

Export a static, self-contained **GLB 2.0** file. Use a Y-up scene, metre units, and embedded PNG or JPG textures. Remove animations, skins, morph targets, external file references, and unnecessary hidden geometry before export. The upload service can optimize some compressed input, but a complex asset can still be rejected by the live validator.

Each file can be up to **15 MB**. The personal model Library supports up to **10 models** and **50 MB total**. Supported editable dimensions are clamped to **1–2000 cm**.

## Import and verify

Open the personal-model area in Room Planner’s furniture catalogue, choose the GLB, and wait for validation and processing. Give it a recognizable name, then place it like another catalogue object.

After placement, confirm scale, orientation, floor contact, material appearance, and performance. If the model is rotated or one hundred times too large, fix the axis or units in the source 3D tool and export again instead of compensating with an extreme in-app size. Personal models are visual planning objects and are not automatically products Supernata can sell or fabricate.

# Share links, editable copies, and Load code

Choose the right recipient mode, understand the limits of view-only links, adopt a copy safely, or replace a draft from a code.

Cabinet and Room studios can create a recipient link from **Share & export**. Choose the mode before creating the link because it changes the initial recipient experience.

## View only and editable copy

- **View only** opens the design with editing controls locked. It is the recommended presentation mode for review.
- **Editable copy** lets the recipient edit an isolated share-session copy. Their changes never update the sender’s named design.

Anyone who has the URL can open it. A view-only link is a presentation setting, not authentication or a confidential access-control boundary. Recipients can still choose an explicit copy workflow, so never put secrets, private addresses, or access credentials in the design name or content. Recreate the link if the shared snapshot needs to change.

Supported custom colors and uploaded textures are included in cabinet and room share documents. The recipient should still verify them after loading.

## Make the shared copy your working draft

In a shared cabinet, choose **Make a copy & edit**. A shared room or Gallery experience can show the equivalent **Open & edit** action. The copy remains detached from the sender. If the recipient already has a working draft in that studio, Supernata asks before replacing it.

This action replaces the recipient’s working draft, not the sender’s design. Save the old draft to the Library first when it matters. After adoption, use **Save** to create a named account record.

## Gallery Wall link limitation

Gallery Wall web links are currently held back because its photos remain in private device storage. Sharing only the layout would give another device unresolved asset IDs and empty frames. Use a 3D export or send a measured specification plus the original photos through an agreed secure channel until the live Gallery studio explicitly offers a recipient-safe link.

## Load a Supernata code

Open **Design → Load code** in Shelf Maker or Room Planner and paste a code made for that studio. The app warns before replacing unsaved work. A successful load:

1. replaces the current working scene;
2. detaches it from any previously active named Library record;
3. saves the loaded result as the new device draft;
4. reports adjustments when an older app/web bridge could not represent every source detail.

Use a cabinet code in Shelf Maker and a room code in Room Planner. A wrong, invalid, expired, or unavailable code is not partially applied. If the current draft changes in another tab while the code is loading, the replacement is refused.

Share links and codes transfer design documents, not account ownership. Save a named version after verifying dimensions, finishes, custom assets, and project location.

## Choose a format

Both exports use real-world **metre scale**. Supernata’s scene is Y-up; receiving software can convert axes or ask for import units. Measure a known cabinet width after import before using the model downstream.

The DAE exporter intentionally merges geometry by visible color. It can preserve the broad laminate colors while losing wood grain, uploaded texture images, Gallery photos, and other texture-map detail. Use GLB when those details matter, then inspect the receiving application because material systems still differ.

3D exports are design geometry, not fabrication packages. Hidden construction, hardware clearances, material schedules, and site conditions may not be represented as a downstream model expects.

## Open drawings

Drawings are available for cabinets and rooms, not Gallery Wall:

- a cabinet preview contains plans, elevations, sections, and customer-safe specifications from the current design;
- a room preview contains the measured room plan and drawings for each cabinet in that room.

Opening drawings requires sign-in. If sign-in completes during the action, select **Open drawings** a second time; browsers will otherwise block the new preview tab after the authentication round trip. Allow the new tab if a popup blocker intervenes.

The preview is generated from the current live design. Save a named checkpoint first if it must correspond to a specific revision. A paid web order can receive a separate durable drawing based on the frozen checkout snapshot; that order drawing is not the same as repeatedly opening the editor preview.

Open **Share & Export** from Shelf Maker or Room Planner when another person needs the design or when you need a file outside Supernata.

## Share a design link

Choose one recipient mode:

- **View only** opens the shared document in a read-only presentation. It is not an access-control boundary: anyone with the link can inspect it and may choose to make a separate editable copy.
- **Editable copy** gives each recipient an independent copy. Their edits do not change your design.

Anyone with the link can open it, so do not put confidential information in the design name or content. Supported custom colors and textures are included in cabinet and room share links.

## Export 3D

- **COLLADA (.dae)** is the broadest option for SketchUp versions. It groups baked geometry by visible flat color and does not preserve image texture maps.
- **glTF (.glb)** works well with Blender and SketchUp 2025 or newer, and is the higher-fidelity self-contained option.

Exports use real-world metre scale, but import settings vary between tools. Confirm the imported unit and dimensions before using the model downstream.

## Open drawings

Export and drawings require sign-in. **Drawings** opens one combined customer + workshop set from the current design: internal and closed elevations, sections, binding dimensions, finish/construction details, and fabrication schedules. Room exports also retain the measured plan, opening register, and cabinet **Position** set-out. If sign-in interrupted the first click, choose **Open drawings** again so the browser can open the new tab. Paid web orders register the same combined structure in SOS from the immutable checkout design.

# Troubleshooting

Recover a draft, fix 3D issues, and understand blocked edits.

Start with the symptom below. Avoid clearing browser data while you are trying to recover an unsaved draft.

## The 3D view does not load

Reload once, then update the browser and confirm hardware acceleration and WebGL 2 are enabled. Close other graphics-heavy tabs if the device has limited resources. If a static fallback appears, the rest of the page may still work, but the studio needs WebGL 2 for interactive editing.

## My latest work is missing

Return on the same browser and device first. Check **Design → Library** and your [profile](/en/profile) for a named version. If you opened a shared editable copy, return through that share link because it uses an isolated draft. Do not start several recovery tabs and edit in all of them at once.

## Draft saving failed

Keep the tab open and try another small edit after checking free device storage. Private browsing and restrictive storage settings can prevent local autosave. Download or share an available export before refreshing if the studio offers it.

## A dimension or function is blocked

Read the notice next to the control. Drawers, curved edges, accessories, floating mounting, and connected cabinets have physical fit rules. Enlarge the relevant cabinet or compartment, remove the conflicting feature, or choose a compatible layout.

## RAKAI did something unexpected

Undo the generation, restate the exact size and target section, and ask for one change at a time. For reference images, add a target width and verify the interpreted section layout.

## Furniture structure

- **Cabinet / lemari** — one parametric furniture body.
- **Arm / sayap** — one cabinet root in a connected L-shaped, U-shaped, or stacked composition.
- **Section / bagian** — a main vertical division of a cabinet.
- **Compartment / ruang / bay** — one storage cell inside a section.
- **Shelf / ambalan** — a horizontal storage panel, sometimes with several clear gaps.
- **Front / muka** — the open, door, glass, or drawer treatment on a compartment.
- **Function / fungsi** — a curated internal arrangement for a section.
- **Accessory / tambahan** — a supported nonstructural item placed in a compartment.

## Projects and modes

- **Guided category** — a furniture type with category-specific sizes, modules, and functions.
- **Free Design / Desain Bebas** — an editable cabinet without guided category limits.
- **Floor / lantai** — a cabinet body supported from the floor.
- **Floating / melayang** — a supported wall-mounted cabinet configuration.
- **Draft / draf** — the automatically saved working document on the current browser and device.
- **Saved Design / desain tersimpan** — a named item in the account Library.
- **View-only link** — a read-only presentation of that shared document; anyone with the link can inspect it and may create an independent editable copy.
- **Editable copy** — a link that gives the recipient an independent design copy.

## Experience settings

**Interface language** controls Indonesian or English copy. **Project market** controls whether the project is eligible for Indonesian commerce or uses International Design Mode. They are separate choices: an Indonesian project can use English, and an international project can use Indonesian.

## About RAKAI and MCP

RAKAI is Supernata’s in-app design agent. The repository contains an MCP-shaped internal tool surface, but this documentation does not advertise a public remote MCP server or a public design-mutation API. Agents can read the public documentation endpoints above; access to private designs or editing capabilities must come from an explicitly supported, authenticated integration.
