Rotate, zoom, pan, focus, and select without losing your place.
On this page
The 3D view is both a preview and a selection surface. Select an object first, then use the surrounding controls to edit it.
Mouse and trackpad
- Click a cabinet, compartment, door, wall, or placed object to select it.
- Drag on empty 3D space to orbit the camera.
- Scroll or pinch to zoom.
- Use the on-screen focus or view controls when you want to return to a predictable angle.
Touch
- Tap an object to select it.
- Drag with one finger to rotate where the current studio allows it.
- Pinch with two fingers to zoom.
- In mobile panels, drag the sheet handle to reveal more controls without covering the whole design.
Selection tips
When several parts overlap, zoom closer before selecting. In Shelf Maker, selecting a cabinet, section, or compartment changes the editing panel to the controls that apply to that level. In Room Planner, selecting an object also focuses the relevant inspector.
If a wall is intentionally hidden by the room cutaway, use the plan view or rotate the camera instead of trying to select the hidden surface. Press Escape to close an open panel or modal; use Undo if an edit affected the wrong object.
