Colors, interior scopes, and custom finishes

Color controls are scoped to the selected part. Select the cabinet for its body finish, a section or compartment for an interior override, and a door or drawer for its front color.

Cabinet body color#

The cabinet-level color is the fallback for carcass panels and any interior that does not have an override. Changing it does not have to recolor a door, drawer, or custom interior that already carries its own finish.

Section and compartment interiors#

The current color name and swatch show the finish actually used, including a color inherited from the body or section. They stay visible while searching the catalog. A selection with different finishes shows Multiple colors.

Choose which surface a new color should cover:

• Back panel recolors the rear panel of that section or compartment.
• Entire interior recolors the inner back, sides, top, and bottom while leaving the exposed front edging on the body finish.

Changing only this surface choice while following the body keeps the interior following future body-color changes until you choose a color.

A compartment color takes precedence over its section. Use body color appears beside the current color only when a selected finish differs from the body. For a compartment, it follows the body even if the section has another color. For a whole section, it clears both the section color and its compartment overrides in one undoable edit; a later section color can then apply to every compartment again.

On mobile, select a compartment or section and tap its Back panel color summary to open the panel color controls. The summary includes only installed back panels; No back panel means there is no panel to recolor. On a short screen, tap the current-color row to expand the catalog and search.

In Panels, Color and Edit panels are separate buttons, including on narrow phones. Color opens the color controls with the cabinet's compartments selected; Edit panels lets you pick which compartments to edit.

AICA and Lamitak references#

Choose AICA / Lamitak on the cabinet, a row or column, a compartment, or a compatible wood front. A section selection follows its interior faces and shelves; it does not recolor every door. A compartment selection takes precedence. Opposite faces of one shared divider can have different finishes while the divider remains one physical board.

These are catalog references. A swatch or article does not establish current Jakarta stock, an exact sheet offer, grain direction, or fabrication readiness. The material list keeps missing information visible. Reference HPL does not apply to glass or aluminium faces. Use the reset control to return to the previous finish; use Use body color to clear an interior override.

Door and drawer color#

Select the front itself and open Selected → Color to choose its color. Color is separate from Surface: Flat, Shaker, Rattan, Slatted, Glass, or Mirror changes the front treatment, while the color/material control chooses the finish used by that treatment where compatible.

Use body color beside the selected color matches the front to its cabinet body. It appears only when the colors differ and disappears once they match.

A Shaker frame follows this front color by default. Set a separate Shaker frame color for a two-tone result; clearing it makes the frame follow future front-color changes again.

Guided categories can provide one richer color surface that automatically targets the selected front. Free Design uses the same Color feature with the selected door or drawer retained as its target.

Custom color or texture#

Where available, create a custom material from a color or image texture, wait for the upload to finish, then apply it to the intended part. Use an evenly lit, front-facing texture with no perspective when you want a repeatable material appearance. Keep the original file until the design and upload are safely saved.

A missing or expired custom texture can fall back to its stored color. Sharing, exporting, or moving between devices can require the uploaded asset to remain available. Confirm the result in the receiving flow rather than assuming a local preview transferred.

RAKAI preservation#

RAKAI can refuse a structural edit that would discard a custom material. This protects the existing appearance instead of silently replacing it. Duplicate the design or make the structural change manually if preserving the custom finish is important.

Color versus price#

Finish area, doors, drawer fronts, glass, mirrors, edge treatment, and custom material choices can affect the material summary and eligible Indonesian pricing. Use the live estimate; this documentation does not freeze catalog prices.
