Gallery Wall size, frames, and arrangement
Match a real wall, add standard or custom frames, place them without collisions, and use four automatic layouts.
Set the wall before fine-tuning the composition so the on-screen clearances correspond to the installation surface.
Enter the wall dimensions
Under Wall, set:
- Width: 50–1,200 cm;
- Height: 100–400 cm.
The default wall is only a starting point. Measure the actual usable area rather than the entire room wall when switches, furniture, a stair rail, or another obstruction reduces the hanging zone. You can also change the wall color to judge contrast with the frame molding and mat.
Shrinking the wall is blocked when an existing frame would end up outside the new boundary. Move or resize those frames first. Enlarging it keeps the composition centered relative to the wall.
Add and resize frames
Choose a standard photo/glass size or create a custom size. Each custom glass dimension can be 9–120 cm. The frame’s outside footprint is larger than its listed glass size because the molding surrounds it.
An added or enlarged frame is placed in free space. If it needs more room, Gallery Wall can grow the wall automatically, up to the wall limits, and reports the new dimensions. It never silently accepts a frame that extends beyond the wall or overlaps another frame.
Select a frame to change its photo size, molding color, orientation, name, or contents. Drag it on the wall to place it. The live guides and snapping are the placement reference; check the measured gaps after rotating a frame because its outside footprint changes.
Collision rules
- A frame must remain completely inside the wall.
- Two frame footprints cannot overlap.
- A resize or rotation is refused when the resulting footprint is invalid.
- If no free location exists, move a frame, enlarge the wall, or choose a smaller size.
These checks use the outside frame, not only the visible photo opening.
Four instant arrangements
Open Auto-arrange and choose a style:

Selecting the same style again intentionally creates another valid variation. Each arrangement is committed as one history step, so Undo restores the previous composition.
Auto-arrange can also ask AI for an organic layout after sign-in. Only wall and frame geometry is sent for arrangement; the local photo files are not sent. The result is repaired against wall and overlap rules before it is applied. If AI is unavailable, the studio can fall back to one of the local layouts.
Automatic arrangement may enlarge the wall when the frames cannot fit. Recheck the reported wall size against the real installation surface before accepting that result.
