Gallery Wall Focus, mats, and print quality

Select a frame and choose Focus & edit photos to work on the mini canvas behind its glass. The wall fades into the background while the selected frame’s photo and text elements become directly editable.

Add and arrange elements#

Use Photo to pick from the local library or upload a compatible image. Use Text to add a one-line caption. A frame supports up to 12 photo elements and 12 text elements.

Drag an element to move it, use its handles to resize it uniformly, and rotate it in the frame plane. Elements must stay inside the usable frame canvas and cannot overlap one another. If an edit is refused, make the item smaller or move a neighboring item first.

For selected text:

• enter up to 80 characters;
• choose Small, Medium, or Large;
• move and rotate it like another element.

Crop and black-and-white#

Select a photo, then choose Crop. Drag the crop edges or corners over the full source image. Each crop axis must retain at least 8% of the source. Applying the crop updates the photo’s aspect ratio; height continues to derive from width, so resizing scales uniformly and never stretches the image.

Black & white is a non-destructive display and print choice. It does not rewrite the locally stored original. Delete removes only that placement from the frame; deleting the asset from the Photos library is the broader action described in photos and local storage.

Choose a mat#

The mat is the background under the collage. Turn it off for the bare backboard, or turn it on and choose White, Cream, or Black. The mat keeps a clean inset around the placeable canvas so an image or caption does not disappear under the molding.

Choose the print tier#

The selected tier applies to every photo in that frame:

Read the DPI warning#

Gallery Wall calculates effective resolution from the original pixel dimensions, the crop, and the physical print size. It warns below 150 DPI. Cropping tighter or printing larger reduces effective DPI. Choose a higher-resolution original, a smaller printed photo, or a less aggressive crop when warned.

Local originals are not automatically guaranteed to accompany an order. Continue only when the live checkout explicitly confirms the required photo-file step; otherwise keep the originals and coordinate printing separately. Always review crop, color treatment, physical size, mat, and mounting before production.
